Coffee types
Two species, distinct regions.
Region and process descriptions are general origin information. Lot-specific details are confirmed before any offer.
Supply is currently arranged through qualified licensed exporters while VI Source develops its own direct export capability. The export route for each transaction is confirmed in writing.
Arabica
Grown mainly on the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro and Meru and in the southern highlands (Mbeya, Songwe, Ruvuma). Commonly washed; natural lots also exist.
Robusta
Grown mainly in the Kagera region near Lake Victoria. Traditionally natural-processed.
