Procurement notes

What to expect.

Who is the seller?

Today, contracts are concluded with a qualified licensed Tanzanian exporter. VI Source is developing its own export capability; once our licence is officially issued, some transactions may be contracted with VI Source directly. The contracting seller is always confirmed in writing before you commit.

Product specifications

We collect lot-specific details — species, process, grade, screen size, moisture, crop year, packaging — and present them in a consistent format.

Samples

Offer and pre-shipment samples can be requested through us. Availability, quantity and courier costs are agreed in advance.

Quality documentation

Quality reports, certificates of origin, phytosanitary certificates and certification documents are issued by the exporter or competent authorities. We help request and clarify them.

Minimum order quantities

Green coffee is commonly traded by container, but smaller lots may be possible. Tell us your volume and we will confirm what is realistic.

Shipping terms

Delivery terms such as FOB or CIF are agreed with the contracting seller. Tanzanian coffee typically ships via Dar es Salaam or Tanga.

Traceability requests

If you need traceability to region, washing station, cooperative or farm level — including information for EU deforestation regulation compliance — say so upfront. We will report back accurately on what can be documented.

Payment arrangements

Payment terms are agreed with the contracting seller, and payment is made to that party as set out in the contract.

We do not guarantee prices, profits, delivery times, certifications or quality outcomes. All product claims are subject to documentation from the contracting seller.
