How we work

A clear buyer journey, from first brief to ongoing support.

Professional procurement needs predictability. Here is how we work with you, and how each transaction is structured.

The process

Six stages.

  1. Understand Your Requirements

We discuss the product, specifications, quantities, destination, pricing expectations and purchasing schedule.

  2. Identify Supply Options

Our Tanzania-based team explores suitable supply opportunities through our own developing export operations and qualified suppliers or exporters.

  3. Compare Commercial Offers

We help evaluate available pricing, quality specifications, quantities, delivery terms and documentation.

  4. Coordinate Samples and Verification

Where available, we arrange samples and relevant supporting documentation for buyer review.

  5. Agree on the Transaction Structure

We clarify the contracting seller, exporter, payment arrangements, delivery responsibilities and commercial terms.

  6. Maintain Local Communication

Our local team remains available to help coordinate updates and address questions within the agreed scope of service.

Responsibilities

Who does what.

Depending on the transaction, the contracting seller may be a qualified licensed exporter or, once our export licence is issued, VI Source itself. We confirm this in writing before you commit.

VI Source

  • Understanding your requirement
  • Identifying and comparing supply options
  • Coordinating quotations and samples
  • Local communication and follow-up
  • Direct export, once our licence is issued (in development)

Contracting seller / exporter

  • Product, quality and grading
  • Export licence and permits
  • Export documentation
  • Shipment to agreed terms
  • Sales contract obligations

Buyer

  • Defining requirements
  • Sample evaluation and approval
  • Contract and commercial terms
  • Payment per agreed arrangement
  • Import clearance at destination

Supplier verification

What we check before an introduction.

We confirm that an exporter holds the relevant Tanzanian export registration for the product, review its business registration, and speak with it directly about the offer. We share what we verified, so you can do your own due diligence.

Export licence status

Building our own export capability.

VI Source is working toward exporting directly under the appropriate licences. Until our licence is officially issued, transactions are arranged through qualified, licensed Tanzanian exporters. When direct export becomes available, we will use whichever route is most suitable and competitive for you.

Documentation & sampling

Requested, not assumed.

Certificates, quality reports and traceability information are issued by the exporter or relevant authorities. We help request and clarify them. Samples are arranged with the supplier, and courier terms are agreed case by case.

Competitive Sourcing. Local Expertise. Global Opportunity.
